Eric Schwarz
Yoga Instructor

An advanced practice means walking away feeling more mindful, subtle, and aware, and that one should not feel worse because one is unable to “do” a pose. Through this philosophy, I provide for my students a positive yoga practice, celebrating body shape, size, gender, age, or any other characteristics that one might narrate as either a limitation or a facilitator to a robust practice. Yoga is an experience enhanced through diversity; there is room on the mat for individuals from all walks of life. In early 2013, I left my job with the federal government to teach yoga full time. Through a combination of breath, functional strength, and alignment, you will establish an open dialogue with yourself, notice the climate of your body as it changes breath to breath, and explore your unique truths and strengths. I specialize in energetic flow, alignment, injuries, and multi-level classes. My joy is seeing students realize their potentials and invite compassion and honesty not only into their own practices, but also across all aspects of their lives. In addition to yoga, I am certified in Spinning, Thai Massage, TRX, and Group Fitness. My love for yoga and breathwork informs all of these modalities and many of my students study with me under multiple disciplines. Additionally, I have studied yoga in Rishikesh and Varanasi, India, as well as energy work in Thailand, and am a devout enthusiast of Ayurveda. I am an E-RYT-500, and offer deep gratitude to my teachers, Natasha Rizopolous and Jo Tastula.
