I enjoy alignment yoga as well as flow yoga and Dharma yoga. I meditate at the beginning and end of class and I focus on posture and mobility. I like to talk in class about health benefits of yoga like increased energy level and improved circulation and immune system. We do a lot of stretches in class including leg and neck stretches, backbends, and hip openers. My classes have a lot of sun salutations and we integrate vinyasas and warrior asanas. I went to graduate school at the Georgia Institute of Technology and I have been in Washington, DC since 2013 when I moved here to work for the US Department of Commerce.
