River's Edge Yoga is one block from the Potomac river in Old Town Alexandria. REY is a cozy yoga oasis dedicated to the teaching of yoga in the classical tradition.
We offer Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, both the Primary and Intermediate Series and Mysore along with our very popular Yoga For Athletes. Other classes include Yoga Sage, a therapeutic approach to yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Pre and Post-natal Yoga,Yoga Tales for youngsters, and Ballet/Barre.
We also feature one-time specialty classes, occasional visiting yogi seminars with national and international guest teachers.
This class is led in the primary series, postures will be observed and fine-tuned by the instructor for each student to further deepen their knowledge and practice of the Primary Series. Experience with the Ashtanga System as taught by Pattahbis Jois is required.
