Eric Schwarz
Yoga Teacher

An advanced practice means walking away feeling more mindful, subtle, and aware, and that one should not feel worse because one is unable to “do” a pose. Eric uses this philosophy to provide for his students a positive yoga practice, celebrating body shape, size, gender, age, or any other characteristics that one might narrate as either a limitation or a facilitator to a robust practice. He believes that yoga is an experience enhanced through diversity; there is room on the mat for individuals from all walks of life.

Sharlene Bagga

Sharlene Bagga-Taves I am a public health practitioner and first tried yoga after spraining my ankle in 2002. I loved it – at first for the physical feeling of it, which got me hooked. After years of practice, I came to love the mental health benefits of yoga just as much as the physical. Through my yoga practice I’ve learned how to breathe deeply and mindfully, and to carry that breathing into situations where I otherwise would have been extremely nervous (on my first small plane flight, preparing for surgery). I became a yoga teacher in 2013. My hope in teaching yoga is that I can share what I’ve learned in my practice with you and that you can enjoy the benefits of yoga both physically and mentally in my class and in all aspects of your life as well. I look forward to meeting you on your mat.

Alexandrea Russell
Yoga Instructor; Prenatal Yoga Instructor

Alex completed her 200-hour certification in Hatha Yoga on the beaches and in the jungles of Jaco, Costa Rica in 2014. The reminder to slow down, reconnect, and reflect inward are central themes in her classes. Alex believes that yoga is a living practice and that every time we come to our mat we must meet ourselves where we are in that present moment. Classes reflect the dharma tradition, incorporating a vinyasa flow with space for meditation and breath work. Alex has also completed an 85-hour prenatal training, is a birth doula, childbirth educator, and nursing student. Balance is an important part of her life, and she hopes to offer you the space to invite balance into your own life. See you on the mat!

Patty Reimel Smith
Patty Reimel Smith RYT 200

Patty, RYT 200 started practicing yoga over 20 years ago. Her practice has changed her life by helping her grow stronger both on and off of the mat. Patty has completed certifications in Power Yoga and Yin. Patty is passionate about her practice and really enjoys working with adults and children. She has earned a certificate of competition through a program called Mindfulness Through Movement. This program was designed to help children and young adults learn simple breath and movement practices, an important set of self-empowerment tools, to help manage the stress of living in any environment so that they can relax more and open their minds to learn. Patty loves to share with others during her classes what she has learned from other yogis. “Teach this triple truth to all, A generous heart, kind speech, and a life of service and compassion are the things which renew humanity.”

Lindsay Tauscher
Yoga Teacher & Healing Touch Practitioner Apprentice

Yoga is more than a set of shapes and poses; it is an ongoing practice and, to me, a way of life. After many years of struggling to find peace in my mind and body, yoga gradually taught me to replace self-judgment with self-acceptance. Learning to be fully present has at once been a challenging and healing process. It has made me passionate about sharing the transformative power of mindful embodiment with others. As a yoga teacher, I strive to cultivate a safe, supportive environment, encouraging students to develop body awareness and challenge themselves, while also empowering them to make mistakes and honor their own needs. As a Healing Touch Practitioner Apprentice, I provide energy therapy treatments to support my clients’ personal healing journeys. I believe that a holistic approach can best support the comprehensive wellness of every being: in mind, body, and spirit.
